Fr. Bob VerEecke Offers Some “Christmas Reflections”

“On the toes” of A Dancer’s Christmas, Fr. Bob VerEecke, Jesuit Artist-in-residence, has created Christmas Reflections, a performance of story, music and dance that weaves together new choreography with some of the favorites of the Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble‘s A Dancer’s Christmas. It also features students from Alumna Helen O’Dwyer’s (class of 1997) school of Irish Dancing as well as BC alumnus, Curly Glynn ’08, as a storyteller/singer.

About the performance, Fr. Bob says “At the end of 28 years of A Dancer’s Christmas, I couldn’t help but notice that the children and young dancers in the show were so disappointed that there wouldn’t be anything to take the place of it. I promised them that I would create something for them. Christmas Reflections has a cast of 25 children, professionals, BC students and alumni. It’s still a work in progress so I’m hoping that it will all come together in two weeks!”

The show will take place December 18th at 7:30pm, Decemer 19th at 3:00pm, and December 20th at 3:00pm for a $15 dollar admission at the Robsham Theater Arts Center. For ticket information contact Robsham Theater Ticket Office at 617-552-4002.

It was a pleasure for have our daughter participate in such a great show (through the O’Dwyer School)! The dancers of all types were wonderful and so very talented! I especially appreciated the spiritual message of the whole program at this wonderful time of year
    Happy New Year to all!
