If you’re looking at your Thursday night and wishing you had something to do, fret not: The Boston Museum of Fine Arts is hosting a College Night on September 23rd from 7 to 11 pm. All you need is your student ID and you can be one of hundreds of college students enjoying a free concert (the artist is being kept a secret…), free dancing, free Mexican snacks from Chipotle, and of course, free admission to a world-class museum filled with artwork.
The MFA’s College Night could simply stop there and college students would be interested, but the MFA seems to be pulling out the stops to make sure that this will be a Thursday to remember. Berklee College singer/songwriter Liz Longley will be in the MFA coffee house. If you plan on tearing up the dance floor, you will be interested to know that Boston DJ Taylor Walker will be mixing your beats. Visit their temporary exhibit, Under the Skin: Tattoos in Japanese Prints, and you can receive a temporary tattoo. In addition to these artists, you could win prizes like an iPad, free skydiving, and a year’s supply of Chipotle burritos. Olé!
If your Thursday nights are booked and you are bummed to miss out on this opportunity, please remember that being a Boston College student will guarantee you free admission to the MFA at any time. Just show them your student photo ID and you will feel like a VIP at Boston’s finest art museum.
The Boston MFA is easily reached on the Green Line – it’s a short walk from Kenmore station. Check out the MFA’s Facebook fan page for more information.
